Hot and bothered? Stop the Sun then

It may looks like a red hot glass marble or a radioactive jawbreaker, but it’s really our Sun as viewed by the Soft X-Ray Telescope (SXT).

Does this image make you feel hot? It should, those loops are made up of plasma (electrically charged gas) millions of degrees hot.

But don’t fret. It’s 21 days till we stop the Sun.
